We intend to make the VATS 21st celebration a most MEMORABLE occasion.

THE DATE AND TIME:

Lunchtime on Wednesday 16th June. (This is a public holiday - Youth Day)

The lunch will be ready and served at 1pm.

THE SPEAKERS FOR THE OCCASION ARE:

Hilary Millward - One of the original founder members of VATS Wine Club.
Jean Engelbrecht - Winemaker from Rust en Vrede, Stellenbosch.

THE MENU:

A traditional South African Weber lunch...with a touch of class and spice!

Beef Sirloin (from The Butcher Shop & Grill) with Dijon mustard and accompaniments.
Butterflied leg of Lamb with Green Peppercorn Marinade.
Spicy herb rub roasted Baby Chicken.
Loin of roast Pork with a touch of Thai.
Grilled medley of Mediterranean vegetables with red and yellow peppers, baby marrows,
done in tofu sauce.
Baked Pumpkin Provencal.
Salads.
Chips and Italian bread on the side.

Chef Patrons are your committee, Kevin, Mike, Bernd and Dave.


THE COST:

R20 for 'early-bird' members, R40 for their partners/guests if this
is paid on or before Tuesday 8th June, thereafter prices double to R40 for members and
R80 for their partners/guests. Think of it as a tasting, except the club supplies the
food and you supply the wine.

THE VENUE:

Out on the river at Hennops, which is 25 minutes away from Fourways Mall.
At Hennops, we have found some new places that are even more beautiful than the one we
normally go to. It is on the river with the most stunning sunset, under the shady trees,
and recommended for sundowners too! There are toilet facilities close by.
Entrance fee is R25 per adult, R10 per child under 12, R5 per car, for your own account.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

Your drinks, glasses, water, picnic rug / chairs, plates, cutlery, kids snacks, starters
or desserts, boulle set if you have.
